Maples was delighted to welcome Pawsitive Social Society for a special visit with six Pomeranian puppies. The visit gave our dog-friendly residents the opportunity to spend time with the puppies individually, enjoying gentle cuddles and their company.

The puppies certainly brightened our residents’ afternoon. As each resident spent time with the little dogs, there were smiles to be seen throughout the visit.

For residents who enjoy the company of dogs, having the puppies at Maples created a lovely opportunity to enjoy a familiar and much-loved form of companionship. The individual cuddles allowed residents to spend some quiet time with the puppies and enjoy the simple pleasure of having them close by.

It was wonderful to see the positive atmosphere the puppies brought to the afternoon. Their visit provided our residents with an enjoyable experience and plenty of smiles. Research by the NIHR found some evidence that interacting with animals can help reduce loneliness, depression and anxiety.

We would like to thank Pawsitive Social Society for bringing their six Pomeranian puppies to Maples and spending time with our residents.
