Oomph! has released its 2019 Impact Report giving details of how its work impacts on both residents and care home staff who receive regular training and support.
Oomph’s Jack is a familiar figure here at Maples. Over the last year he has trained staff to run a wider variety of activities more effectively, and he also monitors progress. With his help we have made big improvements with:
Residents also
get out and about three times a month, thanks to the Oomph minibus. We go
bowling, to garden centres, vintage tea rooms and the pub, for example –
wherever residents want to go. We are all very proud of the progress that we
have made so far and look forward to another year of offering stimulating and
therapeutic activities to our residents.
