Maples residents enjoyed a wonderful afternoon at the vintage style Pantiles tearoom in Bexleyheath, with our friends from Oomph wellness it was only a short ride on the bus from the home.
As soon as we arrived, the decor and classy style of the tearooms wowed everyone and we almost felt right at home. We settled down in our seats and tea was served in ornate china cups, with lovely floral designs, we felt rather posh! Then it was the tough choices of selecting our cake of choice, the Pantiles tearoom prides itself on everything being homemade, and we can confirm everything looked amazing – so it was a really hard pick.
The quote of the day came from resident Gill who said “ooh its very Sunday in here” as soon as she walked in! Everyone thoroughly enjoyed the afternoon, and we felt lucky to share such a wonderful experience together.
Whilst we were there, resident Joyce popped along to the hairdressers a couple of doors down, one that she used to visit very regularly! The hairdressers recognised her as soon as she walked in, as well as some of the customers, so she really enjoyed having a natter and a catch-up.
